Cuyagua contains a mix of Ocumare Criollos, Amelonados and Upper Amazones and Trinitario hybrids.

 

The beans of the cacao trees from Cuyagua’s plantations have high aromatic potential due to their common origin ancestor, the Criollo type. These beans have sensorial benefits that distinguish them from other cacaos coming from nearby areas. Such benefits have conferred to the beans a great fame that crosses borders in time and space

 

The town of Cuyagua is located along Venezuela’s North Central coast, nestled in a valley along the Cuyagua River.
